Chapter 4 AxonRow Core

SLA Compliance & Shipping Deadlines

Understanding the 9 SLA dimensions, alert thresholds, and how to stay compliant.

The Problem

TikTok Shop enforces strict Service Level Agreements on every order. Miss a shipping deadline and you get penalty points. Accumulate enough points and your shop visibility drops, features get restricted, and in the worst case your account is suspended.

Most sellers think SLA means "ship within 2 days." In reality, TikTok tracks up to 9 different SLA dimensions per order — shipping, collection, delivery, ready-to-ship, time-to-ship, pickup cutoff, fast dispatch, delivery SLA, and cancel response. Each has its own deadline and consequences.

The danger compounds during peak periods. A TikTok LIVE that generates 500 orders in 10 minutes creates 500 individual SLA countdowns. One missed deadline in that batch costs you the same penalty points as missing it on a quiet Tuesday.

The Manual Way

Without tooling, SLA management looks like this:

  • Check TikTok Seller Center multiple times per day for pending orders
  • Mentally track which orders are urgent based on order date
  • Hope that your warehouse team processes orders in the right priority
  • Discover breaches after the fact when penalty points appear on your Shop Health dashboard

The Seller Center shows a basic "ship by" date, but it does not show you the multi-dimensional SLA picture. You cannot see that an order is safe on shipping but critical on collection. You cannot sort by urgency across all dimensions. And you definitely cannot get alerts before deadlines hit.

The AxonRow Way

The 4-Phase Order Lifecycle

Every TikTok Shop order moves through four phases. SLA dimensions are tied to specific phases — once an order passes a phase, that phase's SLA is automatically marked as completed:

  • Phase 0 — Awaiting Shipment: Shipping SLA and Ready-to-Ship (RTS) are active
  • Phase 1 — Awaiting Collection: Collection, Time-to-Ship (TTS), Pickup Cutoff, and Fast Dispatch are active
  • Phase 2 — In Transit: Delivery and Delivery SLA are active
  • Phase 3 — Delivered: All dimensions completed

The 4-Level Alert System

AxonRow monitors every SLA dimension in real time and classifies each into four alert levels:

  • Safe (12+ hours): No action needed. Process normally.
  • Warning (4–12 hours): Prioritize this order. You still have time to batch-process.
  • Critical (<4 hours): Act immediately. This is one-at-a-time firefighting territory.
  • Breached (0 hours): Deadline passed. Penalty points incoming.

The overall status of an order is determined by its worst dimension. If shipping is Safe but collection is Critical, the order shows as Critical. One bad dimension drags the whole order into the danger zone.

Special Cases

AxonRow handles edge cases that manual tracking misses:

  • Buyer cancellation requests: All fulfillment SLAs pause (ON_HOLD), but a Cancel Response countdown starts. Miss this and you get penalized for not responding — even though you were not shipping anything.
  • Market-specific dimensions: Southeast Asian markets (MY, TH, VN, PH) have additional dimensions like Fast Dispatch and Pickup Cutoff that do not exist in US/UK.
  • Completed orders: All dimensions automatically close. No manual cleanup needed.

What AxonRow Does Not Do

AxonRow monitors and alerts — it does not physically ship your packages. If you need warehouse management (pick paths, bin locations, barcode scanning), you need a dedicated WMS. If you need carrier rate shopping, you need a shipping platform like ShipStation or Easyship. AxonRow tells you which orders to ship and when — the physical execution is on you or your 3PL.

Checklist

  • Understand that TikTok Shop has up to 9 SLA dimensions, not just "ship by" date
  • Set up automated SLA monitoring — do not rely on manual Seller Center checks
  • React at the Warning threshold (12 hours), not at the deadline
  • Sort your fulfillment queue by overall SLA status, not by order date
  • Set up specific alerts for buyer cancellation requests — they have their own countdown
  • Know your market's SLA windows — SEA markets are tighter than US/UK
  • Review your Shop Health score weekly to catch trends before they become problems
